How I Found My Passion in Revenue Cycle Management

Updated: Aug 13

I started out in Value-Based Care for a payer when I discovered something unexpected—a real passion for the nuts and bolts of billing and credentialing. It became clear that mastering these details is essential to helping providers get paid fairly and grow sustainably.

What often gets overlooked is how much credentialing, billing, and strategic operations impact a practice’s ability to thrive in a value-based model. You can’t deliver “value” if you’re constantly dealing with:

  • Delays in payer credentialing, which can leave providers unable to see patients or bill for services.

  • Denied or underpaid claims that chip away at revenue and create a cycle of rework.

  • Inaccurate reporting due to billing inconsistencies, which can lead to failed quality metrics or missed bonus payments.

  • Missed incentive opportunities caused by poor documentation, incorrect coding, or misunderstanding payer requirements.

When my team merged with the Network department, I embraced the chance to deepen my work building strong payer-provider relationships. These aren’t just administrative issues—they directly impact your bottom line, provider performance scores, and patient satisfaction. That’s where I come in.

I offer hands-on support to align your backend operations with your front-end care goals. Whether it’s cleaning up credentialing timelines, optimizing billing processes, or helping you navigate payer-specific value-based care requirements, my goal is to support—not replace—your existing infrastructure.

I partner with practices to spot operational blind spots before they become revenue losses and to build smarter systems that truly support long-term growth in a value-driven healthcare world. Success in value-based care isn’t just about outcomes—it’s about alignment. And that starts with the systems behind the scenes.

Today, I combine clinical curiosity with operational know-how to help practices thrive in this complex, evolving landscape.
